A car subscription is an all-inclusive car rental you pay for weekly. One payment covers the car, its insurance, servicing, repairs, WOF, registration and AA Roadside Assistance. You add fuel. That is the whole arrangement.
It sits in the gap between renting a car by the day, which gets expensive fast, and buying or financing one, which means a deposit, a credit check and years of commitment. A subscription asks for neither. You pick a car, pay weekly, and give a month's notice when you're done.
It is not car finance and not rent-to-buy. There is no ownership at the end and no balloon payment, which is also why there's no credit check to pass. The car stays ours, so its depreciation, its WOF failures and its repair bills stay ours too.
